Had this last year but was too busy to leave work. Grabbed a bottle of 99% alcohol from the first aid kit and swished around the area for as long as I could stand. Next day, no more infection. Terrible taste though. Don't swallow it.

Yeah I am on penicillin and pain killers as well as mouthwash so hopefully it clears up soon. :)

The day I did that I was hanging off the side of a high-rise looking for cracks so danger was all relative.
